Description

Edelweiss Valley is a ski resort located in Wakefield, Quebec, approximately 20 minutes north of Ottawa. It is very family oriented and consists of mostly beginner and intermediate terrain. There is also a snow tubing park that is very popular for families and school field trips. Edelweiss Valley was acquired by Mont Saint-Sauveur International in 2000. Since that time they have made numerous improvements to the skiing and facilities.

Improvements since the year 2000

Since MSSI (Mont Saint-Sauveur International) acquired Edelweiss Valley, there have been several key improvements that have been completed. A second Doppelmayr quad chairlift was installed to replace an old Yan double chair. At the same time, a new beginner trail was created (Chemin des Bois) as an addition to the existing Easy Street trail. A snow tubing park was opened, serviced by a triple chair. Increases in snowmaking efficiency and capacity as well as grooming were improved.
